  • Anna-End of year-Data clean out
    • iWeb accounts
      • No more student accounts created
      • Teacher portfolio sites created on other platform
      • Message needs to be drafted to staff that NO new iWeb accounts will be created moving forward
      • PD around moving iWeb to EduBlogs or other platforms.
    • Data Backup/Drive Cleaning
    • Messages will go out at each division around network drives and Summer cleaning
      • If teachers have issues with this they can work through TRFs and Tech to ensure their data is backed up
  • Orion-Expansion of server room and updates to HVAC and UPS.
    • Budget for new bandwidth, maintaining our bandwidth to keep up with other international schools in Shanghai

BYOD Planning Items
  • Jeff Rosen will be Deputy Superintendent dealing with BYOM issues and acting liaison w/ TRFs (Orion)
  • All Issues below were sorted within the Workflow diagram and Meeting Objective bullet points referenced above.
    • Students NEW to SAS must have AD account & pwd prior to starting this process (Bobby)
    • Establish workflow for BYOM approval process (suggested by Bobby, et al.)
    • CASPER (this also installs SAS admin account & self-service portal) see CASPER Topics
    • Equitrac, printer presets, SEB, Shortcuts for SAS servers
    • Software checklist for use at SAS (to be allowed on SAS_Student)
    • joining of SAS_Student VLAN (after MAC importation to CISCO Identity Services Engine group via Jonathan)
      • Jonathan will add students currently in Casper to SAS_Student

  • Q: Loaners and chargers of different types @ Apple Center? (Bobby)
    • Not discussed-Still needs to be dealt with (Jeff)

  • MAP-Moving to web-based MAP for Fall testing.
    • Will our safe exam bowser work?

End of the Year Tech Related Items
(meeting agenda priority goes to items related to BYOD items above. However, if time allows we need to discuss the following)
  • Teacher computer re-imaging? (Jeff)
    • Teachers can self update via APP store
    • Priority to BYOM in August/Sept. Then we can Schedule teachers for reimaging
    • Communicate with teachers about iWork apps and conflict with Mavericks iWork apps
    • Get local copies of Mavericks
      • Pages and Keynote


  • Timeline for moving teachers to SAS_Staff VLAN (Bobby?)
    • Teachers can do this on their own
      • Will need first space last and current password (outlook, equitrac, etc.)

  • August incoming Teachers' training and differentiating for divisional needs (Jeff)
      • Send Helene and Admin this Schedule and notes after meeting

      • A: We divided by divisions ES and HS/MS and by campus
        • Puxi's were held in LMC and HS Library breakout Rooms-September 18th (ES) 26th (MS/HS)
